Welcome to American Friends of Libi
AFL - provides direct support to the brave men and women defending Israel. We are all volunteers with a common goal – providing protective gear, educational programs, medical and social services to individual as they fulfill their commitment to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF).
American Friends of LIBI is a Non Profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the United States aimed at easing the hardship and burden of service in the IDF.
All donations received are applied to the projects for which they have been designated Each Donor receives an official receipt.

Programs we are actively funding
Paramedic Vests
We have received an urgent appeal for the purchase of specially designed Paramedic vests as a result of the latest hostilities. The IDF Medial Corps responsible for treating wounded IDF soldiers has requested these lightweight, functional vests that are specifically designed by the IDF’s Medical Corps and produced in Israel.
A tax-deductible contribution of $180 purchases a single vest for the IDF Medical Corps. The need is urgent. Please respond!
Education services for IDF soldiers upon completion of Military Service
This is an important direct approach program to help those individuals who have sacrificed to defend Israel. Those eligible are able to leave their units three months early to complete their courses of study. Subjects include mathematics, English, and if required, citizenship. Today, over 700 soldiers have completed their exams with success.
This is a wonderful way to say thank you to those that have served!
Vouchers for Soldiers
Food vouchers are distributed to eligible Solders prior to going home to allow them to purchase necessary groceries and items for their family. Based on financial criteria as defined by the welfare committee of the IDF Personnel Branch, soldiers can qualify for vouchers in the value of NIS 1,000 to NIS 2,000 per year.
